Thank you for visiting my website. It is a distinct privilege to serve as one of your circuit judges, and I am pleased to have this opportunity to communicate with you.
Since taking office in early 2001, I have handled thousands of jury and non-jury cases. With each and every one, my highest priority has been to follow the law - not make it, and to be fair and impartial, firm but compassionate.
I have also made it a priority to get out and visit in the various communities in Jefferson County. During my years as your circuit judge, I have visited virtually every community, many of them on numerous occasions. I have participated with you in parades and festivals, joined you at meetings, and enjoyed untold numbers of banquets and special events. I appreciate these opportunities to get to know you better.
I am deeply grateful to you for the support you have given me through the years and I work hard every day to earn your continued support. The bench is no place for political and social agendas; rather, it is a place to make certain that justice is done. That is what I strive to do every day as your judge.
I look forward to visiting in your community again. And, as we continue to move toward the 2008 campaign season, I will be adding more information to this site. I hope you will visit here again soon.
