Thank you to the more than 209,500 voters of Jefferson County who re-elected me on November 4, 2008. It is a distinct privilege to serve the citizens of Jefferson County as your circuit judge and I look forward to serving you for another six-year term.

My campaign Chair, Alan Rogers and Co-Chairs, Michelle Clemon and Greg Hawley, together with the more than 500 members of my committee, worked effectively and I appreciate their commitment to my re-election.

I also want to thank the United Mine Workers of America, the Central Alabama Fire Chiefs, the Central Alabama Labor Council, and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodges One and Three for their early endorsements. I appreciate so much their confidence in me.

I am deeply grateful for the support you have given me through the years and I work hard every day to earn your continued support. I pledge that I will continue to follow the law and rule fairly and impartially. The bench is no place for political and social agendas; rather, it is a place to make certain that justice is done. That is what I strive to do every day as your circuit judge.

In closing, I want to especially thank my wife, Marsha, and my three children, Blair, John and Rebekah for their support of me in this endeavor.
